Medical experts from the UCSF Emergency Covid Response, LifeLong Medical Care, and Kaiser Pediatric Mental Health present the science on safe school reopening and on the psychological effects of social isolation. Moderated by EdSource. The risks and benefits of in-person school and distance learning are addressed.

OPEN LETTER from Berkeley Health Professionals

"We share our perspective, in firm belief that the learning loss and mental health crisis we are witnessing compels urgent action."

On Tuesday, February 2, 100+ local medical professionals sent the following letter to all of BUSDs educational leadership, Mayor Jesse Arreguín, State Assembly Member Buffy Wicks, State Senator Nancy Skinner, and Governor Gavin Newsom.
